It all started at the end of the “ Invasion From Dimension X” arc. In stopping Khan they almost lost their lives. They survived but lost something nearly as important, they lost their powers, the things they had thought defined them. So they decided to leave the team for a while to rediscover themselves, but now……………..Rogue & Gambit are back!

Claremont is really upping his game! This was a really engrossing issue. Things are moving: the wind of change is blowing, but is this, a good thing!?! Someone is manipulating the residents of Valle Soleada and the source of this is a shocking to the team as it is to the reader (look further than the obvious). Storm & Gambit have to change a decision before it can be made, but are they fighting a losing battle. And can Rogue and Cannonball teach kids that they aren’t giants!?!

Kordy is proving the last couple of issues weren’t a fluke. He has really evolved on this title and this end product is a perfect compliment to Claremonts stories. His style now encompasses an intensity & scope of emotion that can really transform a story from jus mere words. I did wonder bout Larrocas cover though. It really doesn’t have anything to do with the story and isn’t as good as the last two in this arc.
