In this issue, we find out more about the Stanley Stewart, also known as the Blur or the Whizzer, for old Marvel fans, and the other subplots are building up to a showdown for the next issue. Mark Milton is feeling more alienated than ever, now that The US Government confined him to a fortress of solitude. Doctor Spectre reawakens. A few soldiers should be fired next issue!

Straczynski continues to build up a powerful series, albeit very slowly. The extra bits woven in the story are great, but the series is feeling to feel like it's padded for a trade paperback. Eventually, padded stories will have the same effect on readers as gratuitous pin ups, multiple cover variants and splash pages did a decade ago. If you have a story to tell, please do, but don't stretch it.

Frank is still excellent, although, his characters still have one of about four stock faces. There's the chubby look, the Mark Milton hero look, the black guy look, and the girl with big eyeballs look. Of course, it's not as bad as other artists such as John Byrne, but this reader is finally feeling tired of this series. It is still excellent, but I want to see an overhaul and more variety.
