The Titans are still searching for Raven but in the process, they are running into new Titans who joined up and then left during the mysterious missing year that is being covered in the pages of "52." In the latest issue, they meet the enigmatic and irritable Zatara, cousin of Zatanna, along with female teen versions of Captain Atom and Martian Manhunter. It is puzzling why DC would create junior versions of characters who can't even keep their own titles afloat but at least this latest issue is rich in novelty, drama and surprises. All the new characters stand out as individuals and the plight of the team-- their search for Raven and the presence of a traitor in the ranks, is becoming even more intriguing as more details of the missing year are revealed. The art isn't very pretty and at times, it looks a bit rushed but it does capture the awkwardness and tension within the group. These Titans aren't the postergirls of the Perez era but then these aren't the close-knit, friendly Titans of that era either.
