With the shocking realisation that it is Tarene: The Designates essence within the Destroyer. And that it was she who created Desak. What will befall Thor? Will an old friend become his end or will it be his very own son? Can Asgard even survive!

There were so many expectations with this issue. It was not only the conclusion to an epic storyline, but also the last issue written by Dan Jurgens. Things could have gone in so many ways, but things do end up surprising you. Instead of using the most obvious route Jurgens show's us that at the crux of any situation, redemption can be sort. But you must have to want it truly for any change to happen. The good thing also, is the fact that the seed of actions will always be carried.

The fragmented remains of New Asgard and the devastated remnants of the Asgardians are brought to life by Eaton's pencil. The displays of power throughout are impressive, none more so than when Magni throws a building. And the translucent affect given to Tarene adds to her mysticism. Great cover also, is Thor sailing to Valhalla?
