Wonder woman of War

This art is fantastic, almost like this issue was painted with broad strokes yet still clean and clear. Not quite as bright as perhaps a Wonder Woman centric story should be, but gorgeous.

The opening of the annual is an origin of Wonder Woman in the Injustice universe, and it is remarkably like the film. In fact some panels and dialogue seem almost to be lifted straight from the Wonder Woman movie. Diana leaves Themyscira with Steve Trevor as she feels duty bound to use her gifts to protect humanity. Instead of WW 1 though they are in WW 2. Some stuff happens Diana returns to Themyscira but overall not a lot happens.

Second story is Grounded Zeroes.

The art for the backup story is again very different. Almost like a colouring book comic yet very much adult and gorgeous.

This story is a Harley story set before events of Injustice2#1.
It’s a cute and fun little story and of course revolving around Harley there is a little violence. This story actually seems to fit into the series better than the main story.
