The Teen Titans are invited to a television show for teens but are set for a trap by a villain calling himself the Ant or something – no name is provided. He captures each Teen Titans in front of a live audience and threatens to end their 15 minutes glory. The only person standing between him and success is the Teen Titans’ fearless leader Robin. Can Robin save the day?

There is not much of a story here. It’s not comic book padding, but this story lacks complexity. It takes baby step at showing the resentment that Kid Flash has towards Robin. It seems, from the look of it that Robin is the only competent here. All the others are amateurs that fail miserably to live up to the title of super hero. Perhaps Wolfram wants to show them as kids first who need to merge into a viable team by the end of the mini-series. If this is her plan, she better start consolidating the story quickly because at this point it’s not going anywhere.

Reading this almost felt like reading a cartoon. The colours are beautiful and bright and Kerschl’s character designs for this story are interesting. The characters look like kids and their posing is fun. There is a greater range in humour and character design here than in some of Kerschl’s previous work. Sure, I don’t like how he makes Aqualad look so ugly and like buck tooth brat, but it’s still original in interpretation.
