Review: Frostbite #4

Keaton and Vic get to know each other much better and secrets held between them are revealed, not to the benefit of them both though.

After last month's Mad Max on Ice issue, the plot gets moving again. The action remains at a minimum, but the story advances as Keaton's sin is revealed and Vic's reaction isn't exactly one of compassion. It's good that everything is finally out in the open between the two main characters, Now the real conflict in the narrative can begin.

Jason Shawn Alexander's art remains a phenomenal visual treat. While remaining more conservative than his work on Empty Zone, it still looks like nothing else being published right now. Again, I'm so stoked that he has broken into the mainstream in a big way with this series.

Frostbite is the kind of work that helped Vertigo Comics once be one of the most respected semi-independent and alternative comic book imprints. If Vertigo keeps this type of work up, they just may become so again.
