Justice League #2

Green Lantern and Batman, assisted by Flash take on Superman and regret doing so.  Is Superman really so powerful that even a Green Lantern beefed up with Batman’s brain and Flash’s speed cannot stop the man of steel? Elsewhere, Victor Stone is about to get powers of his own, but at what cost?

Justice League #2 wasn’t bad at all. In fact, there was a classic fight provoked by a misunderstanding and followed by a team up and then a big explosion. I really like how Johns writes Green Lantern and Flash here. They seem lively and already play against one another. Green Lantern feels very immature and Flash is a worse boy scout than Superman. I like how Superman defeated all of them easily. This kind of display of might has not been seen in a Justice League series in a while. It puts everything about this team in perspective if we know how they feel and act when together and how their powers and abilities compare.

Lee designed a great comic book there, with a lot of destruction and some clever panels. I like the interplay he did with Flash and Superman. The pages were very busy however, although easy to read.

Rating: 8.5 /10
