This story has dragged on too long, unfortunately and as happened before, I’ve lost almost all interest in this series. Fraction takes a concept which is interesting but expands it so long, detailing moments which do not enhance the story, but make it seem more trivial. There’s a real lack or integrity towards the reader. Writers such as Jamie Delano were known to expand stories over several issues, but each moment they added was layered with impressions and contents that made the story interesting. Most of silent moments and the introspective sequence that Fraction offer readers add no value or anything worthy. For example, Delano, in hi position would have described the experience of being swallowed by a mud creature, whose being penetrates you from the mouth and nostrils and the pores of your skin. As a reader, you would have felt the uneasy sensation. With Fraction, we get random thoughts separated from the visuals, where Tony Stark is caught on in his own brain, but does not really react to the sensation around him. A good writer would have exploited that instead of uttering some random monologue.

Larroca draws well and is the one strength of this series. Without his work, this series would have failed already.

Rating: 4 /10
