Due to the success of the Blackest Night ring give away, DC is rolling out a matching set in every color of the DC Universe. On November 4th providing that they have met the pre-order requirements comic book stores will receive the Yellow ring as the first of the set. Others to follow with the promotion wrapping up January 27th with violet.
Pre-order requirements are as follows. To get a bag of 50 Red Lantern rings, Green Lantern rings and Blue Lantern rings each store must order at least fifty copies of the following books: Justice League of America#39, Blackest Night #5 and Adventure Comics #4. To ensure they get fifty Sinestro rings, Agent Orange rings, Indigo Tribe rings and Star Sapphire rings they must order at least 25 copies of Doom Patrol #4, Booster Gold #26, R.E.B.E.L.S. #10, Outsiders ’24.
Rings will appear at retailers on the following schedule. Yellow on November 4th, Orange on November 18th, Red on December 2nd, Green on December 16th, Blue on December 30th, Indigo on January 13th and Violet on January 27th.
The best way to ensure that you’ll get your hands on at least a couple of these collectors items is to talk to your local comic dealer soon. Make sure that they have met the pre-order requirements for the selected titles and put them on your pull list to do your part. By the end of January I’ll expect to see hundreds of pictures of fans with their fits full of power rings like a power crazed Hal Jordan. Happy hunting.
