I’m really impressed with the level of Daredevil stories in Brubaker’s run. While this story in particular was not exceptional and was but a case type of story that will stretch over a few issues, reading Daredevil is like reading a modern crime series where the writer doesn’t underestimate the intelligence of the reader. Part of this story, such as Daredevil going crazy again should be explored in more details. His constant fall into depression and violence should be dealt with once and for all. Perhaps Brubaker will surprise readers with a twist in this story and deal with that aspect of Daredevil.
Lark is a solid artist whose work captures the mood and doesn’t deviate from the script. Characters show enough facial expressions to be believable and make readers relate to them. That is all this story needs.
