Well, now things are moving but can Doom be reached in time and even if he can, will Favier's small band of Witchbreed accompanied by Fury, be able to do anything. And where did Strange go?
Can I just say, OH MY GOSH! This was a joy to read. For all those that wanted action, here's your action, how you like them apples :) Gaiman reveals so much in this issue and as the mysterious unravelled before your eyes, you're left smiling and berating yourself for not cottoning on earlier. There were also many little intricate references made, that show Gaiman knows his history. It looks like it could be the season of Marvels, after all. 616 anyone :)
This is a faster visual experience than the last issue and isn't encased in the same lushness of backdrops or scenery. This however doesn't make it a bad experience. Kubert has a tremendous talent for facial expression and I think the last shot of the Inquisitor epitomises this. My only real complaint, if you can call it that, is that Reed seemed to look a little to young. But other than this, another superb issue.
