1602 #3 Second Review
By Kevin Scott

All's not well in the Marvel Universe in the year 1602 as strange storms are brewing and strange new powers are emerging! Neil Gaiman, Andy Kubert & Richard Isanove bring to life a rich new vision of the Marvel Universe that Gaiman promises is NOT a 'What If" story. But how do Spider- Man, the X-Men, Nick Fury, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, Dr. Doom, Black Widow, Captain America & more Marvel stars appear in the year 1602!?!
Gaiman continues to enthral with his storytelling. There are many threads weaving there way through this book, but nothing becomes confusing. The only thing is, after all the revelations and fascinating plot growth of issues #1 & 2, this issue felt kind of flat! Don't get me wrong, things happen, but it just feels like the breaks were slammed on. The ending though, I suspected something, but not that!
Yet again Kubert & Isanove have given us some beautiful pages to look upon. Lush backgrounds coupled with characters that give off so much life. I think the only things that I thought was a little off, was the rendition of Virginia Dare when she had transformed into the bird like creature. It jus looked awkward and sluggish! The cover at first look may seem bland, but when you look again, it is a masterpiece of detail!
