The fight over an ancient stone tablet with unimaginable power concludes. Whose hands will it wind up in? The KingPins? His hired assassin Elektra? Mysterious cat burglar, the Black Cat? Or Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-man!

This was another enjoyable issue from Bendis, that I felt was well judged storywise. After finding out MJ had run away last issue, I thought the conclusion to this part of the story was captured so naturally, I honestly would have paid for just this. We get more and this is good too. Many things are left open, which is good in a sense that the air of mystery is still there. And the ending adds a touch of humanity to someone who seemed like they had none.

The art as always was real nice, but really jumped out at me was the interaction between Peter and MJ and how Bagley captured it. I think it’s the emotion in the eyes that really attracted me to these panels. Everything that MJ is going through is witnessed in her eyes. And that for me shows definite skills from Bagley. The first head shot of Black Cat also has a vivid quality to it as well.
