"HOMELAND" concludes with a showdown over biological weapons in Cuba, and Cap faces a life-changing decision!

Sometimes a problem of trying to get a message across in comics is that things can come across as preachy. Morales avoids this and manages to tell a story that resonates sensibilities. Cap has to get Hedayat to a hospital, but is in a face-off with the Cuban soldiers over the bio-weapons. All this gets resolved, but the interesting stuff is the ramifications Cap has to face up too. Will he view things the same from now on?!?

The opening page really sells the scene to the reader. It’s really got the tenseness of the situation locked down. What was interesting was how the middle, retrospective part of the book was constructed. All the panels had a translucent type effect to them. It seemed that, Bachalo was saying the situation isn’t as clear cut as you may think.
