“The world of HaVeN began some twenty+ years ago in the mind of an impressionable child who grew up watching the juggernauts that are Star Wars and Star Trek,” says Moshier exploring the early origins of the story, “mixing in the influences of Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and V there was a sci-fi cocktail being shaken (not stirred).” Moshier further explains that these concepts made that childhood impression that started the foundation for his own science fiction story, “From watching those great shows I wanted to create my own universe filled with strange creatures, high action/adventure, and moral dilemmas. But – although the concept of HaVeN took many names and many story paths through the years the ending result is something consciously unique from the franchises listed above. What if our world became uninhabitable? What if only a select few could escape a planet wide apocalypse? Who would be sacrificed? In essence, the tale of HaVeN is that simplistic underneath all the thrown punches and laser blasts. Now we have two societies of man – one of Earth and one on HaVeN, separated for decades. How these two societies fit back together again is the story that is being told.”
