Nanites created to wage wars have turned against humanity and destroyed them from inside. Survivors have left for Earth’s orbit where resources are missing and the last safe haven for humans is in dire condition. Will a union with aliens be the salvation for humans? And what about the planet itself? Can anything be salvaged? And who is this mysterious rebel, banished on Earth who holds all the answers?

Haven is a great science fiction series set in the near future that studies one possibility of humanity. The introduction to the series would have made by itself a great series. Characters have too much to say to explain the story and there lies the one of the minor problem of this series - show it, don’t tell it.

The main weakness is the artwork which is not quite ready for prime time yet. The characters don’t move freely and look stiff. Jamison needs to let go of the pressure in his hands and relax more. One can feel how difficult this assignment was for him and how much he wanted to prove himself. The inking doesn’t go far enough. More shadows were needed and less retracing of the artist’ lines would have helped.

The inking wasn't strong at all
At the time I thought it was best not to deviate from the original pencil which was a huge mistake on my part which I take full responsibility
