It is hard to get excited about a story where the villains are pretty much amible doofuses. The creative team appears to have decided that the soap opera elements are what make this title interesting so they don't bother to show the heroes facing a serious challenge. Hester and Parks, who did well in capturing the mood of urban danger in earlier issues, seem ill-suited in a story where the characters mostly talk, talk and talk. Oh, there is a mystery villain whose hidden hand is revealed in the last page but heck, even the heroes don't seem to be taking him seriously.
