Hey everybody! So the San Diego Comic Con is officially over 25% over and boy was it an eventful first quarter. Pics were thrown around, people announced some seriously exciting news, Rick Remender told fans to f-ck themselves, and so much more. (Vin Diesel also wore stilts and an I AM GROOT shirt to the London premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy, but that was in London). Here's our latest recap of SDCC news, The #Binquirer: #SDCC Day 1 Edition:

Be sure to follow us on Twitter and my own Twitter handle for the latest updates throughout the day.

Comics
The X-Force team of Rick Remender, Jerome Opena, and Dean White are getting back together for Avengers: Rage of Ultron. The OGN will be released in 2015, no doubt to trick moviegoers into buying a comic they think is a tie-in to next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. More at Comicbook.

Comixology has announced DRM-free backups for their customers. Customers can choose between PDF and CBZ file formats and means customers can access their comics even if Comixology ever stopped supporting their app. More at CBR.

Vertigo announced a new series by Bill Benis called The Kitchen. Coming in November, the series focuses on Irish wives living in Hell's Kitchen in the 70s. More at Bleeding Cool.

The DC Digital Panel announced enough comics to rival Image Expo. New comics for The Flash, Teen Titans, Smallville, and Arrow TV shows, a Wonder Woman comic by Gail Simone, a Batmanga, and many more. More at Newsarama.

IDW announced artist editions of Jack Kirby's Mister Miracle and Eric Powell's The Goon. More at Bleeding Cool.

Video Games
Firefly Online, besides releasing a gameplay trailer, also announced all of the principle cast of Firefly will do voice work for the game. More at PC Gamer.

Television
Community won't be back before Christmas, according to Dan Harmon, and Jonathon Banks is unlikely to return. On the plus side, the whole cast and crew seem very excited to get away from the studio model and tell some interesting stories. More at AV Club.

Film
Marvel released three Avengers: Age of Ultron posters that are each part of a larger image of the Avengers fighting a lot of Ultrons. Still waiting on Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Quicksilver, but Black Widow, Iron Man, Cap, and Scarlet Witch each look particularly overwhelmed. More at Furious Fanboys.

A picture of Batman from the upcoming Batman/Superman film has hit. It's dark and brooding. The actual cape and cowl were on display at the convention as well. More at the Daily Mail.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has posted a picture of Shazam on his Twitter, pretty much confirming he's going to play that character at some point in the future.

Guardians of the Galaxy currently has a 100% fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes. It comes out August 1st and I cannot wait.
