The romance life of the teenaged meta humans training at the seminary is explored this issue. The mischievous Punchy spends the entire issue daydreaming about his new anonymous lover. As he tries to set up an appointment with the mysterious admirer, we learn more about whom other Seminary students such as Dextra, Duke and Empty Vee like. Will the Seminary survive a high power romance within its walls?

Reading the Intimates always takes a while. Unlike other writers, Casey packs much information within the comic book. Frankly, reading about these teens is almost like watching a reality televison series with some X-Men and their sibling. Not much ever happens, but by the end of each issue, one feels like one knows a lot about the characters. It’s difficult to see Casey’s aims with this series, but I’m sure he’s up to something.

Of course, Camuncoli’s work is a charm and the secret ingredient of this series. He succeeds as well in super hero action, as he does in facial expressions. Once would think that a series where nothing really happens would be filled with talking heads. Camuncoli even gives each of character their own body language. Even the storytelling works to Camuncoli’s favour. This series is really worth looking at.
