Today,
GameStop announced the winner for its
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tournament, the company's largest national in-store tournament to
date. Lee Martin of Houma, Louisiana was named the Grand Prize winner
for the tournament and, with the title, took home a Vizio 37” LCD
television, a complete Nintendo (first-party) Wii software library, a
Wii console, some accessories and $5,000.
Prior
to competing against the 12 tournament semifinalists on April 12
th
at GameStop's San Jose Tournament Center, Martin successfully battled
60 opponents at the local Store, District and Regional levels. In
all, over 75,000 players participated in the multi-tiered tournament.
