In Disturbia, the new thriller from director D.J. Caruso (Two for the Money, Taking Lives), a young man under house arrest learns that "even killers have to live next-door to someone…"

Kale (Shia LaBeouf) spends his days endlessly playing video games, surfing the Internet, watching TV, and eating junk food.  He has free reign of his house, but there's one problem.  He can't actually leave his house because he's under court-ordered house arrest for three months.  If he takes one step beyond a 100-foot perimeter of the house, he's going to a real prison.

After his father died in a car accident for which he blames himself, Kale became shut down and withdrawn, where he was once an outgoing young man.  When an insensitive teacher brings up his father, Kale loses his temper and knocks that teacher the hell out.  Only the intercession of his mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss) kept Kale out of jail.  Now, the poor woman works day and night to keep things for her and her son together.

Mind your business, boy! Shia LaBeouf gets his spy on in Disturbia.

Going stir crazy, Kale starts using second hand surveillance equipment to spy on his neighbors, especially his hot young neighbor, Ashley (Sarah Roemer).  After she catches Kale spying on her, Ashley becomes interested in Kale's stakeout hobby.  Their fun and games turn deadly when they discover that one of their neighbors, Mr. Turner (David Morse), may be a serial killer.  No one believes them, especially the police who prefer keeping an eye on Kale.  No one believes that Kale and Ashley may have stumbled across a secret that might cost them their lives.
