Simon Williams is an aspiring actor attempting to crack the Hollywood bubble. While, unbeknownst to him, a new friend, actor and former terrorist Trevor Slattery, is spying on him on behalf of the Department of Damage Control (DODC). Simon has dangerous and unstable superpowers, and the DODC wants to contain Simon, or have him work for the US government. Will Simon reach his goal of becoming a major Hollywood actor, playing his childhood hero Wonder Man, or will he be arrested before? I was pleased with this series, although I did not know what to make of it after binge-watching it. I am a longtime fan of Wonder Man. I’ve followed his trials in the Avengers since the 1980s. I even read his entire 1990s series. I know of his brainwave gifts to the Vision, allowing the synthezoid to have a personality of his own (well, a copy of Simon).... More

Webcomic series Check, Please!, the original gay-themed hockey romance has been overlooked in favour of the broadcast adaptation of the Heated Rivalry novel. Heated Rivalry, originally a novel by Canadian author Rachel (Goguen) Reid, adapted as a streaming television series by director Jacob Tierney, cast a shadow over the original gay-related hockey drama Check, Please! by cartoonist Ngozi Ukazu. This is another example of a comic taking a back seat to other media in the cultural zeitgeist. Check, Please!, a popular comic, is the story of amateur hockey player Eric Bittle and former junior figure skater from Georgia, USA who moves to Massachusetts and joins a local team at his new college, the prestigious Samwell University. There, he meets French Canadian player Jack Zimmermann who is the captain of Samwell University’s hockey team, and a potential NHL draft pick. While the pair’s relationship is confrontational at first, over the years,... More

Here’s a story. Singer and composer Janis Joplin had a knack for telling stories as she sang. They never were the same, much like comics. Each song was a work of art, chord after chord, like a series of panels on a page, telling a story step after step. When she repeated a chord, like a comic panel, it was to strengthen a story, playing with pauses, and repetitions.
The story of comics, no matter what the naysayers claim, is not over. ComicBookBin intends on continuing telling that story for years to come, with its own unique chords.
At first a comic book collection listing, ComicBookBin publishes comics reviews and news. It informs hardcore and casual comic book fans and collectors, having expanded its coverage to action figures, movies, games and more. Over two decades later, whether through words, podcasts, video, or apps, ComicBookBin has (28658)
articles created by a dedicated team of human contributors.
