Hello again my comic fanatics. I am continuing here my review of the latest X-Men crossover called Second Coming. Here I am reviewing part twelve in the crossover X-Men Legacy #237.

So let's talk about the book. Its the mutants last stand, but they're not going down without a fight. Magneto enters the fray and helps turn the tide a little. Hope enters the battle as well and continues to help. The odds however are too overwhelming. The Nimrods are just too many. Its now all up to X-Force, Cable and Cypher. As X-Force battles to distract one of the Master Molds in the future, Cypher attacks the second one. The Master Mold tries to assimilate Cypher but Cypher's new numbers ability allows him to overpower the Master Mold's computer brain and shuts him down. This in turn shuts down all of the Nimrods in the past. The X-Men have won. Or have they? Bastion, who is onside the dome, plans to kill them all personally. As Hope turns on on Cyclops for leaving Cable to die, the Nimrod dome begins to hum and Cable starts to come through. And that's the book.

So let's talk opinions. There is a lot of story progression in this book. My one problem is that it happens too fast. This book would have been a lot better if it was stretched over two issues. Then we could have had a full issue devoted to a future battle with a lot more battle scenes instead of a few pages only. We could have also seen more of Magneto battling the Nimrods. There could have been more Nimrod battles overall. (By the way, what happened to Legion? He wasn't in this issue at all. Nor was Beast who was supposedly entering the battle last issue. See what I mean? Not enough pages, too quick action.) If only we could have eliminated three or four of the past issues that sucked, and extended the action in this book, this crossover would have worked a lot better. Well, at least there's only two books to go.

Overall, I would rate this book a 7 out of 10. Great art. Plenty of story progression as the biggest plot point is resolved. Only Bastion and the return of X-Force to go. (They can handle that over the next two issues right?) That's my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
