Students of the Unusual's popular bum, Uncle Pat, weaves myth and history together in a story of a shaman, a priest, and their dragon nemesis' hunger for human sacrifice and treasure. The River Dragon appears in Indie Comics Magazine's Spring Issue, scheduled for preorder in Diamond's April 2012 Previews under Aazurn Publishing.

The Students of the Unusual comic series is filled with horror tales based on the legends of the beautiful state of Florida. The series is published by 3 Boys Productions, founded by Terry Cronin, Jeff Hall, Bob Lizek and Pat Martin.

The River Dragon's writer, Terry Cronin is a film producer/director/dermatologist who works with the team to produce the annual Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival. Cronin's new Skinvestigator prose books follow the murder investigations of dermatologist Doctor Harry Poe.

"Terry's unique spin on traditional horror is wildly entertaining," said Beatty. "In film, book or comic, Terry knows just how to let his stories reveal their twists." Art in the Indie Comics Magazine tale is supplied by Jorge Calamato.

3 Boys Productions is currently producing Adventure Chefs, a reality show where contestants hunt, forage and gather food to prepare fine dining for judges.

In Indie Comics Magazine, short biographies and contact information are included with done-in-one stories so readers can easily seek out more of the creators' work. Full color Student of the Unusual comics can be found at http://www.studentsoftheunusual.com.

Indie Comics Magazine's Spring Issue will feature eight complete stories, from creators as diverse as Eisner and Harvey nominee Douglas Paszkiewicz (Mad magazine), Australia's Paul Bradford (Undercurrent) and Italian creator Maddalena Carrai (Creepy Gaga).

An alternate cover from Douglas Paszkiewicz will receive limited distribution through comic shops as well, said Beatty. "Arsenic Lullaby is Pasz's comedy that is too twisted for Mad. Expect that kind of cover!"

Indie Comics Magazine is 64 pages of the best story and art from today's independent comic book creators. No huge overprint, no digital version, no back issue sales, April's Previews under Aazurn Publishing is the ONLY way comic readers can get Indie Comics Magazine's Spring Issue!
