Captain America; The First Avenger Costume Concept Images

Images of early designs for Captain America's costume have hit the internet in recent days they may have been leaked, or it could be a savvy publicity move, who can say for sure. One thing is certain. The concepts work (though I prefer the pictures without a gun- holster to be honest). The 'Cap Commando' look works well. It may well be tweaked slightly for the movie, possibly giving it a more cloth-like look for the time setting of WWII, we'll have to wait and see what look eventually makes it to the big screen.

I can't wait to see what Joe Johnston does with this movie and character. Mr Johnston is well acquainted with period action and adventure movies - I loved his 'The Rocketeer' movie, which was set in the late 1930's. In fact, I think that 'The Rocketeer' film is well worth a revisit, and soon.
