Captain America is reborn but with the Red Skull inside and right away, he attacks the Avengers and the new Captain America. The real Captain America is lost in a world inside the mind of the Red Skull in a Nazified world and he has to struggle to gain back control over his body. But the Red Skull has the upper hand and is about to kill the new Captain America. Will the Red Skull succeed?

This issue was supposed to be the conclusion of the Captain America reborn story, but apparently, an extra issue is needed. The problem is that a new series featuring both Captain America and set after this book has also shipped while the new extended conclusion has not arrived in store yet. Why even bother with the last issue of a series that has been lacklustre already? It’s your typical story of course and we know the Red Skull will be vanquished somehow and that he will vacate the body eventually. Why even bother extending the series at this point?

He artwork continues to be quite good in this series but Hitch may be responsible for the lateness of the last issue and thus, the feeling of let down about the last issue. Guice does overpower him with his inks and makes Hitch’s work not his best looking, although it is better than average.

Marvel just didn't bother to think up enough of a story to fill this series, it's just that simple in the end. The only reason for getting the final issue is to find out what happens to the red skull, it would be the conclusion of years worth of story from his assassination by the winter soldier to his sharing of his body with the russian businessman and attempt to take control of america though his puppet politician. The red skull is 'the' villain and i fear that this book will hold true to form in the conclusion and all the good writing that's come before will die an ugly death with the skull.
