The Sword and the Butterfly
Matthias Wolf releases his third graphic novel The Sword and the Butterfly. A teenage girl protects her Excalibur sword until she can return it to the King of England. Artist Jim Jimenez and colourist Gloria Caballe collaborated on the 206-page graphic novel from Razor Wolf Entertainment.

Digital Comics

The Castle
Sequential released Frank Kafka’s The Castle comic adaptation. The Castle was kafka’s last and unfinished novel. David Zane Mairowitz and Jaromir adapted the The Castle to graphic novel format.

The Golden Life of Francis Fairview
Canadian artist Matthew Strickland released The Golden Life of Francis Fairview. This comic available on ComiXology tells the story of a boy surrounded by a family secret. His goal is to find the secret.

Manga

Udon
Udon Entertainment is releasing several books of interest to manga and video game fans. First is Darkstalkers: Official Complete Works (ISBN: 1-927925-04-5). It features artwork, illustrations rough concepts and models sheets from the Capcom video game.  DMC Devil May Cry: Visual Art (ISBN: 1-926778-97-9) is a compendium of sketches, character models, and designs from the popular animé series.  Fate/Complete Material Volume 1: Art Material (ISBN: 1-927925-12-6) collects artwork from the animé, the video games and the manga series. Other art book collections from Udon include Ni0 Art Works: Nishi’s Alluring Figures (ISBN: 1-927925-03-7), Rage of Bahamut: Official Art Works (ISBN: 1-927925-06-1), SoulCalibur: New Legends of Project Soul (ISBN: 1-926778-95-2), and Street Fighter Classic Volume 3: Psycho Crusher (ISBN: 1-927925-02-9). The Street Fighter book is a comic book compilation of the Udon series.

Captain Ken

Digital Manga is attempting to reproduce Osamu Tezuka’s Captain Ken manga series. It has never been available in English. Volumes 1 and 2 are in the works. Captain Ken is a western series by the late Japanese cartoonist.



Super-Hero Revisionism

Sequart announced When Manga Came to America: Super-Hero Revisionism. The book researches how manga Mai, the Psychic Girl was revisionist manga like Watchmen. The 80-pages book by author Dr. Julian Darius (ISBN: 978-1940-589-039) is available now.
