The latest revival of the WONDER WOMAN comic sets out to re-establish her as a major player in the DC universe while cleaning up her numerous continuity problems. Fortunately the creators don't get stuck up on explaining which Wonder Woman was which. They recap what happened immediately before and during the CRISIS and reveal why the role of Wonder Woman has changed. Without giving up too many details, let's just say Diana is back-- just not the way we expected to see her. There is a great fight with a revamped Cheetah and Giganta and some red herrings that sufficiently surprise the reader without making him feel cheated. The art has a detailed, yet surprisingly graceful tone although it could use more work in telling a story clearly. One page has Wondy throwing a backhand punch but it takes some time to figure out just who she was hitting. Maybe next time, they can pace the story better so as not to jam too many things into too few panels.
