Rare and Microsoft Game Studios. The soundtrack will be releasing next Tuesday, July 28th, at retailers through Sumthing Else Music Works and for digital download via Sumthing Digital at www.sumthingdigital.com and iTunes.

Not familiar with the Viva Piñata franchise? Created by UK Microsoft Game Studio second party developer Rare, Viva Piñata is a management simulation game, based on a popular children's television show, in which players create and cultivate a garden to lure and capture piñatas, which will then inhabit the garden. The soundtrack includes 25 original musical compositions by Grant Kirkhope, who also composed music for other Rare titles like Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark and Grabbed by the Ghoulies. The score was orchestrated by Nic Raine and recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

For more information on the Viva Piñata Original Soundtrack, or to listen to samples of some of the tracks, check out the soundtrack's page on Sumthing Digital. No word on pricing yet.
