Starz continues its monthly series “Starz Inside” with the premiere of the special on Monday, Dec. 17 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). “Anime: Drawing a Revolution” will take a provocative, in-depth look at the astonishing art of anime and its influence on worldwide culture and leading Hollywood filmmakers. Starz Inside is hosted by film critic and author Richard Roeper.

Featured in the special are actors Michael Madsen (Sin City, Kill Bill), Michelle Rodriguez (“Lost,” The Fast and the Furious), Lauren Holly (Spirited Away), Crispin Freeman (Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society), Wendee Lee (Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society), Hal Sparks (“Tak & the Power of Juju”), Veronica Taylor (“Pokemon”), musician Rob Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects), directors Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), Colin Brady (upcoming Astro Boy), Kevin Munroe (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Peter Fernandez (“Speed Racer”), David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie), Chairman Emeritus of Marvel Comics and COO/Chairman of POW! Entertainment Stan Lee, Anime News Network Columnist Bamboo Dong, and others. Films and shows highlighted include “Pokemon,” Ghost in the Shell, Akira, The Matrix, Animatrix, Afro Samurai, and many others.
