Xbox Live gets a case of Asteroids, ouch
Microsoft
added two new games for Xbox Live Arcade today,
the
arcade classic
Asteroids
and
Asteroids
Deluxe
,
which are available as a joint download
.
The original 1979 space shooter by Atari is now available for Xbox
360 users to download and play at their leisure, and comes along with
its sequel – released in 1980 – which includes a new shield
feature and dangerous satellite enemies. Of course, both games are
now available in standard or widescreen aspect ratios, and in high
definition as well, in up to 1080i, as well as full Dolby Digital
surround sound. The games are available as a joint download for 400
Microsoft Points.
Puzzle Quest comes to Wii

Publisher of America announced the release of
Puzzle Quest:
Challenge of the Warlords
for
Wii today. The hit puzzle game, which initially launched on Nintendo
DS and PSP, then made its way to Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation 2 and
PC, is finally available for Wii, with some new twists. The game
still maintains its blend of match-three puzzle gameplay with
strategy, character-building elements and a full storyline, but now
includes updated features like the re-balancing of some runs, spells
and other items, shorter recharge time limits for the more powerful
spells, a re-play option for monster capture puzzles, two player
multiplayer, and motion sensitivity, using the Wii
Remote.
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords
is available now for $29.99 USD/$34.99 CAD and is rated E10+ for
Everyone 10 and up.
