A long time ago the five lands of Quin were besieged by an onslaught of Orcs, who were brought together and led by Mordath. Eventually a saviour came, Ayden led the remnants of the land to victory and all was well. Over three centuries later, Mordath has returned. Not of flesh, but with immense power as he bears a Sigil. It is said that if the five fragments of Aydens arrow are united he will return to once again save Quin. So this is the quest Arwyn has set out upon. Can she succeed?

Well, everyone survived the sea monster (like anyone thought they would die) :) Edginton continues to write some really good dialogue. Arwyns speech seemed a bit Dawson’s Creek, but the rest was definitely on point. The story itself however seemed dull and rushed. A bland version of: Island of Dr Moreau. The most interesting part featured Pallias & Dodona but they still haven’t been given any depth, so it’s hard to be overly concerned bout them.

The opening page was so damn nice. The sunset was like wow. And the rest of the book jus showed Lands skills. The one thing I’ve noticed though is he can’t seem to show Arwyn as angry. She jus never looks right, he seems to want to make her still look pretty. So it losses the emphasis. And I have to say I hated the cover. It jus came off as cheap titillation and demeans a good series!
