FJORG! looks like Fyorg to me

The people behind Siggraph 2007 announced an interesting, and interestingly named, animation competition today. FJORG! – that's pronounced Forge, not Fyorg or F-Jorg – will be a 32 hour competition consisting of sixteen, three member teams working to create their own character-driven animated sequences, all before a live audience at Siggraph. The shorts will have to be a minimum of 15 seconds in length and will be based on specific themes as picked by the competition's judges.

The teams will be competing for the title of “FJORG! - 2007 Viking Animator” and various, currently unnamed prizes. The teams will be judges by various industry professionals, also currently unnamed. Any interested participants will have to submit demo reels, between March 1st and May 1st, along with a $30 USD submission fee. Anybody interested in submitting material should check out the official rules and regulations of the competition first at http://www.siggraph.org/s2007/presenters/fjorg/, and don't forget that submissions need to be made by teams of three people. Once you've checked out the rules and regulations, head over to http://www.siggraph.org/s2007/presenters/forms/ to submit your demo reel. Siggraph 2007 will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA from August 5th to 9th. Good luck to all who enter.
