Once more picking up where the previous issue left off, Mike Cray has a new job. One that International Operations won’t appreciate. He may not be going over to the other side – but then again he might.

Meanwhile, readers are treated to a handful of answers – enough to alleviate confusion and keep us interested (well, me, anyway). Angie Spica has fallen in with her would-be rescuers, and Jake Marlowe is the “clever, clever, daddy” with all the answers.

But she’s soon to have bigger problems, as Skywatch – yet another nefarious organization – has recognized the technology behind her high-tech armor. And they aren’t happy. But didn’t I see those fighter craft on an old episode of Battle of the Planets?

What it all boils down to is IO oversees Earth, believing it to be a highly prized jewel in the universe. Skywatch oversees everything else. That’s a lot, but none of it is very appealing, compared to the Earth. And a fragile network of atreaties and agreements holds the two groups at bay.

Now that we have approached something resembling a plot, I’m much happier. I can tell good guys from bad, and understand their various roles within their respective organizations. If only this could have been done about five issues ago.

Rating: 7/10
