Mister Miracle and Big Barda invade New Genesis to confront Orion who wants the former dead. All the while they discuss the upcoming renovations to their condo that Barda wants in expectation of a newcomer to their family. Will Orion be convinced?

This is issue, as was the previous one, is a fine example of double narration in comics where the visuals tell one story – the fight against the New Genesis security forces, while the couple deals with other pressing matters, like Barda announcing to an oblivious Scott Free that she is pregnant. Only at the end of the story are the two threads finally joined with one reality being of interest to the characters.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the great timing and of Tom King’s accomplice, Mitch Gerads whose job it is to choregraph the fight while King focuses on the showing how oblivious Scott Free can be. There are a few scenes that are not very clear, such as when the couple literally pull the guts of the aquarium monster to use as a vine and some of the movements between panels in the fight. The backgrounds are very similar so sometimes, it is not clear where the comic is moving to.
