It’s the finale of He-Man’s alliance with the Thundercats. He-Man and Lion-O are the last men standing against the combined force of Skeletor and Mumm-ra. With all of their allies fallen, and Castle Grayskull opened to the villains is everything lost?

This issue wrapped up the epic story too quickly while trying to resolve all of the major breaks that made this series so ground-breaking. At the very least, some of the risks taken, such as the revelation of He-Man’s secret identity have not been reverted to their original state. I like that this series appears to continue in the future with one of the group of heroes and villains. The writers continued to compare and contrast the Thundercats with the Masters of the Universe characters. The resemblances are very apparent!

Freddie Williams continues his dynamic work here but puts in way too much details per page. Most of it is lost in a fury of colours and details. You can only savour the comic if you read it slowly. There are so many details hidden everywhere. But these details do get in the way of the storytelling and the action looks off in many of the panels.
