Deathstroke has to work with Raptor, the new villain to retrieve intelligence about his ex-wife Madeline that is held on the pirate ship hauled near the US by Superman a few issues ago. But to do so, since Raptor currently wears Deathstroke’s costume, the assassin has to go classic! Yes, we get the old Deathstroke costume this issue and it’s still a great costume!

Deathstroke classic may look gaudy by today’s standards but his costume was unique enough and always fun to watch! George Pérez continues to be one of the best costume designers in comics! Joe Bennett and inker Mark Morales easily show how this costume was so dynamic and cool-looking in fights. I wish that they would let him continue using his old suit!

I like the plot twists that Christopher Priest revealed at the end of the story. I really did not see that one coming. I just wish that we knew a bit more about Étienne, Joe’s girlfriend. We have seen much of her but we still know little about who she is really. I bet that she doesn’t survive long though. This issue was readable even though it was complex. If you have been reading this series from the start, this issue will feel satisfying.
