Wading into deep waters

The studio's working on a script and trying to find a director. The main goal is to make sure it stays close to the source material." Ryan 'Deadpool' Reynolds.

Though the proposed Deadpool spin-off does not yet have a director, lead actor Ryan Reynolds has talked about the need to address the audience just like his character, Wade Wilson, does in the comic books. Called 'the fourth wall' this has been used to great effect in many a film and comic book, it is often accomplished with a knowing look at the audience or to camera.

Reynolds is known to have commented; “Break the fourth wall? Oh yeah, he’s got to. I want to see him break the Great Wall."

Fans of the comic books will be happy to hear that Reynolds and 20th Century Fox think that; ''The main goal is to make sure it stays close to the source material."

It will be interesting to see who is hired to helm the movie and to get a feel for the direction that the film will take too, as we get an idea of the plot, see production stills and (hopefully) a few teaser trailers.

Keep watching.
