It’s the New Warriors and the Initiative versus the Thor clone. People die this issue. How many and will their sacrifice be enough to stop the Thor clone, who knows.

There’s a serious problem when you keep wanting to drop a comic book series, yet come back to it every month for some punishment. It’s worse when you planted the idea in your mind that you can’t stand the artist, yet, you suddenly start to find his work decent. But worse of all, is when you don’t need to read every caption in the comic book to make sense of it. This series has always been but a bundle of surprise for me. If even I can’t seem to shake off the habit, I’m thinking other readers too will fall for it. I don’t know what it is about these B characters that I don’t even care about. Even with a new writer and artist, I’m back every month for more punishment. In cases like these, when enjoying a stupid comic book where half of a cast that you can’t identify fight a degraded Thor clone, it’s best to just go on and enjoy the ride. No point feeling guilt anymore.

I said it. Ramos is becoming more enjoyable. His figures have more shape and show hope that maybe one day, they’ll have spines supporting their bulging muscles. My only complaint was the size of their mouth and how screw they looked. But to Ramos’ credits, not reading the captions did not take away from understanding what was going on. That means he’s a good storyteller.
