Didn't the JSA encounter some spirits beyond the grave just a few months ago? Wasn't it established that it was Mr. Terrific who was the atheist and Dr. Midnite, the practising Christian? Is Jakeem Thunder going to be permanently bald now? Is firehouse chili now the standard fare for all superheroes? These questions crop up while reading this latest issue by veteran JSA scribe Paul Levitz. These minor continuity glitches aren't a serious problem but they do detract from the issue, making it seem like something slapped together in a hurry. Frankly, the most intriguing thing about this issue is the backstory given to the Gentleman Ghost, of all people. The art by Morales is quite good however although he really isn't given much to do aside from draw the JSA members running into various ghosts. Luke Ross does the flashback sequences which thankfully restore the ghost to his olde English roots.
