The rehabilitation of Hal Jordan continues as we learn that the Green Lanterns who we thought Jordan had killed years ago are still alive-- and not surprisingly, they want his head. Add in the Cyborg Superman and the Manhunter robots into the mix and we get all the action we can handle. The effort to repair Jordan's reputation can be laborious at times but the creative team makes this job as painless as possible, using well-crafted flashbacks and internal monologues to keep the reader up to date so this issue can be enjoyed without having to know 20 years of DC history. The art team does a very good job, putting a lot of drama into scenes of alien beings, alien probes, futuristic technology and cameos by old DC characters. DC is putting a lot of effort into making GREEN LANTERN a must-have comic and for the most part, they are succeeding.
