The rehabilitation of Hal Jordan continues as we discover that the various members of the Green Lantern Corps. that Hal once murdered, may actually still be alive. Hal defies the orders of the Guardians and goes in search of the team-mates he once betrayed. This could all get too convoluted but both the writer and the artists do a good job of keeping us all up to date on what happened last issue as well as what happened over a decade ago. All the various subplots are also touched upon so we get a sense of something building up. The art is a wonderful combination of Gil Kane and Neal Adams, the two best Lantern-artists of all time. It just needs to improve the pacing in setting up the mood-- the sudden two-page spread of Guy and Hal battling the androids seemed to come out of nowhere. Some might complain about how Oa has turned into a giant police precinct-cum-army camp-- complete with cafeteria. But all in all, this book is clearly powered by enthusiasm and energy of all the creators concerned. Its practically a power-ring on paper.
