Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Studios announced the upcoming release of their third downloadable content pack for their first-person horror shooter, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Entitled Reborn, the new pack contains four brand new single player campaign levels and a new, free multiplayer game mode.

The four new levels will take you through the chaos of Alma's aftermath through a set of new eyes – those of Replica Soldier Foxtrot813. As you begin the mission as part of an orbital Powered Armor drop to reinforce their squad, the ruined city of Auburn emanates supernatural events and familiar voices, beckoning Foxtrot813 to go against orders from Replica command. But, as with most things in the F.E.A.R. universe, not everything is as it seems.

Upon the release of F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn, playerswill also see the release of a new, free Slow-Mo Deathmatch multiplayer game mode. This free title update will be available to all owners of a retail copy of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin with access to the multiplayer modes and will allow you to obtain a slow-mo power-up to slow down enemies in multiplayer deathmatch, giving you a distinct short-term advantage. Also, the longer you hold on to the power-up, the more objective points you collect, so you also get a nice boost to your overall score. The only problem is that when you've got the power-up, you'll be a major target for the other players.

F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn will be launching for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, for download via the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network, on September 3rd, but players who can't wait to get their hands on the campaign will be able to download a robust demo of the pack on August 27th. The PC version will be releasing at a currently unannounced later date.

Warner and Monolith will also be releasing some new console themes and related extras on August 13th. A brand new F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin premium theme and picture pack will be available for Xbox 360, priced at 240 Microsoft Points and 80 Microsoft Points respectively, while a new theme for Playstation 3 will be available for $1.99.

F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn is the third DLC pack available for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, following the Toy Soldiers map pack which launched on April 16th, and the Armored Front map pack which released on May 21st. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and its related downloadable content are rated M for Mature.
