THE LOWDOWN: I’ve said it before, but it’s worth saying again.
Joss Whedon can write one hell of an escapist comic book series, and that’s what this Buffy comic book series is – superb escapist entertainment. A mixture of superhero comics (Buffy is a hero and a super one, at that) and action fantasy, Buffy hits the right buttons and there’s plenty of humor. Once again,
Georges Jeanty, in a near-perfect execution of Whedon’s script, is creating visuals that best capture the excitement of Buffy’s return.
