Thor Odinson's big screen debut is packed full of hidden references, cameo appearances, and speculations (which we lovingly refer to as Easter Eggs). Share your findings, Marvel Universe knowledge, and speculations here. Don't worry about spoilers...we're assuming if you're posting here you've seen the movie. If you haven't, then come back and post your findings after watching this great adaptation of one of Marvel Comics' most beloved and long lived characters!

Here's one to start things off: Is the large African-American SHIELD agent, whom Thor double drop kicks just before failing to lift his hammer after breaking into SHIELD's tent city surrounding it, Luke Cage, or, as he's been known in the past, one half of the Power Man and Iron Fist duo?

I think so...

Special thanks to... The Karate Kid
What was up with the special thanks to Ralph Macchio at the end of the credits reel?

Ralph Macchio was also an editor at Marvel in the 1980s when Simonson was doing his Thor run.

Gotcha! Thanks. Everyone who stayed through the credits at my screening got a kick out of that. Not quite as comical now.

Good Stuff
Just came from seeing it. Thought I'd throw in a few. Jeremy Renner's appearance hardly counts (since apparently everyone knew but me). The Donald Blake references were nicely done as was Stan's cameo. I've also heard, though I didn't see, JMS made an appearance and the Infinity Gauntlet was in Odin's trophy room. Oh and of course there is the post credit sequence which was brilliantly done.

Ralph Macchio
the Ralph Macchio mentioned has been a long time editor at Marvel. However it is NOT the actor from the Karate Kid films. In fact, as far as I know, they are unrelated, and only share a name in common.

Jeremy, I'm told that JMS appeared as one of the locals who tried to pull the hammer loose just before the Stan Lee cameo bit I'm not sure which one he was. I'm gonna look for him on my second viewing! There's tons of cameos!
