Video Games

Marvel Comics is trying to link their games together, just like their films and comics. TQ Jefferson, VP of games at Marvel, said the company is "trying to build a gaming universe connected by common elements and narrative into a larger gaming initiative." More at Variety.

Citadel Studios, a videogame developer formed by former Elder Scrolls and Warhammer Online employees, have announced their next project. Codenamed "Shards," the company is making an online 3D RPG that will ignore "the restrictive level designs, one-time encounters, and confining rails of gameplay" of other online games. More at IGN.

Some preliminary details of Telltale Games' Borderlands game have been revealed. The game will follow a similar format to their previous games, The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, but will be more comedic. More at Polygon.

Television

Fresh off his cameo on Community, Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz and Community creator Dan Harmon are working on a project together. No details yet, but Harmon said the project will "embrace the emerging mediascape" in an interview. More at Rolling Stone.

Another trailer for Game of Thrones has landed. It has very little Joffrey, but lots of Cersei and Daenerys. Watch it below:




iZombie's television show has another cast member. One Tree Hill's Robert Buckley will play Major, a "former college football player-turned-environmental engineer who is extremely likable." More at the Hollywood Reporter.

The BBC announced a four episode documentary miniseries called The Real History of Science Fiction. The series will cover Robots, Space, Invasion, and Time in its episodes and will feature William Shatner, Nathan Fillion, Steven Moffatt, and more. More at the BBC.

Orphan Black has also dropped a new trailer. The BBC America production is amazing, so go watch the first season. More on Youtube.

The Cartoon Network is making its first foray into miniseries. The network has greenlit a 10 episode series called Over the Garden Wall, a comedy-fantasy based on Tome of the Unknown.

The upcoming 24 miniseries, Live another Day, has its first official trailer. The miniseries will debut on May 5. More on Youtube.

Las Vegas Josh Duhamel has been cast in Battle Creek as a "clean cut and humble FBI agent." The show, by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, will also star Dean Winters, Kal Penn, Janet McTeer, Edward Fordham Jr. and Aubrey Dollar. More at Entertainment Weekly.

Film
The Visitor's Tom McCarthy will be writing the film adaptation of Tommysaurus Rex. The Eisner award-winning graphic novel is about a boy who finds a T. Rex and makes it his pet. More at the Hollywood Reporter.

Comics
The Ultimate Spider-Man TV show will have a series of free comics exclusively on the Marvel Infinite app. The series is being developed for the kids-friendly part of the app. More at the Vancouver Sun.

Speaking of the Marvel app, they are upgrading the system to help it run better. But even better is their newest innovation, adaptive audio, which will bring sound to their digital offerings. Watch it explained below:



Marvel Comics has announced Tales to Astonish, a documentary series that will provide in-depth looks at some of their most popular comic series. The first will focus on Civil War. More at Nerdist.

Titan Comics has released a trailer for their upcoming series Scarlett Couture. The sci-fi series is written and drawn by Des Taylor and is about a female spy. More on Youtube.

Comixology has a bunch of giveaways thanks to the SXSW festival, but the one I'm most excited for is the Submit Starter Pack. The pack of 100 indie titles, is on special for just $10! More at Comixology.
