DC Comics:

Not much going on here. The third wave of the New 52 is being made returnable to DC for retailers.

Marvel Comics:

Marvel released the creator listing for Marvel NOW! Point-One, and here it is: BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS, MATT FRACTION, JEPH LOEB, NICK SPENCER, KIERON GILLEN, DENNIS HOPELESS, MICHAEL ALLRED, ED MCGUINNESS, STEVE MCNIVEN, JAMIE MCKELVIE, SALVADOR LARROCA and LUKE ROSS. Hopeless, Allred, and McKelvie? Whoa. Color me intrigued.

The five-issue miniseries coming this Fall, Punisher: War Zone will mark the end of Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto's acclaimed run on Punisher. Rucka will go on to a creator-owned project for Image Comics.

More Comics:

Bleeding Cool broke the news that David Lloyd of V for Vendetta and Kickback fame is dabbling in the digital medium. His weekly web anthology is called Aces Weekly and will run August through September of this year. The digital books will sport a $10 price tag and work by Lloyd, Phil Hester, Kyle Baker, John McCrea, Mark Wheatley, and more.

Film and Television:

Disney's Phineus and Ferb will feature a special "Mission Marvel" episode where the titular characters will meet a slew of Marvel heroes. Holy product integration!

Rotten Tomatoes was forced to block all comments on its The Dark Knight Rises page after trolling fanboys issued death threats to reviewers who didn't like the film. How dare you not like something?!?!?

In equally troll-y news, professional gas bag and V for Vendetta's Voice of Fate impersonator, Rush Limbaugh, reported that TDKR was a deliberate anti-Romney conspiracy, citing the villain's name, Bane, as too similar to Mitt Romney's former enterprise, Bain Capital. In other news, Chuck Dixon is from the future.

We forgot something when we reported the second wave of Marvel films: The second Thor film will be titled Thor: The Dark World.

At Comic Con, Director Peter Jackson reported wanting to shoot more footage for his Hobbit duology... which could mean a trilogy! And you thought the Lord of the Rings films were boring.

The Gareth Edwards remake of Godzilla took Comic Con goers by surprise with a one-minute teaser trailer. Most striking was its gritty realism. Well, it's at least as gritty and realistic as a teaser about a giant lizard film can be.

Sam Raimi has pulled out of the World of Warcraft film adaptation. There was reportedly not enough emo jazz dancing and plastic fang veneers to satisfy the Spider-Man 3 director.

Video games:

The Dark Knight Rises mobile game launches on July 20 for iOS and Android devices.

A World War Z video game has been trademarked. Production of the game will be nowhere near as messy as the production of the film.
