But I do enjoy the occasional all-ages title, and Teen Titans Go! could easily recruit new readers to the comic book community. This issue features the need for a new clubhouse (temporary), when Beast Boy’s passion for pizza leads to trouble in the tower. They try all the great hideouts, with a shout-out to the Super Friends and Richard Donner’s Superman.
A second story concerns a Pokemon-like game, leaving Beast Boy in the hands of slacker villain Control Freak. If only Gar’s pals could come rescue him, but they’re busy playing the game.
The cover is generic, featuring the Titans doing what they do best (eat pizza), and the art inside is simple and basic. I don’t particularly care for it, but your mileage may vary. It is effective for those familiar with the animated show.
