What happens when the super heroes go on vacation? Well, the government hires them many hookers and serves them a lot of drugs and booze for the type of garden parties no one would forget. So the government-sponsored orgy is another the carrot to the stick of the Boys, the special team dedicated to containing super heroes and their abuse. But is the carrot enough for all of those guys and gals in tights? For mature readers only.
I’ve read but a few issues of the Boys, but I still wasn’t familiar with the premise. This spin off series was a good way to explore that universe further. Although how the creators describe the super hero orgy is, let’s say, imaginative, there’s nothing in there for Puritans to get excited about. I also fail to see the point of this series. Perhaps it’s one of those that’s best read by people already familiar with the universe of the boys.
The artwork was uneven. The proportions are off and the work feels expedited. The best part of the artwork is the scenery. The backgrounds and vehicles are all well rendered hinting that perhaps the artist is the wrong choice for a series that’s focused on the human body and what goes on between consented adults.
